Jerome Tso Wing Huen - BCM302 Advanced Digital Artefact - assignment 2

After the application is installed, it will be launched to the login section, where users can either log in or set up an account. On the contrary, if users were using Mental Mind for the first time, they need to input both their age and the type of their mental health illness(es), to verify the topic or theme of their related problems, and everything is all set.

On the home page, there is a base bar at the top of the screen, with three icons representing each function. The first one is a search bar. Apart from inputting keywords, the search results can be filtered. Users can surf for a list of specialist therapists, with ratings of five stars and payments for each appointment. Also, their availabilities are provided either online, physically, or even both. Besides, users can select different languages for their preferences, adjust the audio and video camera, switch it into dark mode, update their profile in the settings, and a simple mode for ease of use and less potential to trigger patients.

One of the basic functions below the base bar is "Join Meeting", users who are patients and therapists will enter the meeting based on their booked appointments. It is optional for them to show their camera or not. Nevertheless, the recordings will feature AI note-dropping and face recognition, so that users can revisit past recordings in words and indicate who they are.

"Upcoming Meetings" represents their booked appointments are scheduled on a calendar and notifications will be received on their smart devices.

Moreover, when patients book their appointments, they will not just input their mental illness and select a therapist but also decide whether to attend the appointment online or physically. After selecting the available date(s), period(s) and paying the fee, a confirmation is sent to their email address.

Hi Jerome,

As always, your video did really great with an eye-catching theme and attractive animations, it is awesome.

However, I doubt the work that you mentioned new users are required to answer their medical illness by themselves, then do they have to hand in their medical certification also? If Yes, how does the platform protect users' privacy? I would like to have more information about this, security is important for users.

Furthermore, there is another doubt about security, is there any confidentiality agreement needed to be signed by the therapist? Or are there requirements to be the therapist under the platform? As mental illness patients wouldn't want their illnesses to be gossiped.

Moreover, is there only one service provided…

Here is a review and commentary on the key features of the mental health application you described:

Overall, the Mental Mind app appears to have a comprehensive set of features that cater well to the needs of both patients and therapists in the mental health space. The onboarding process is thorough, ensuring users can properly identify their specific mental health needs and get matched with appropriate therapists.

The home screen layout with the base bar and key functionality icons is intuitive and allows users to easily navigate the core features. The search functionality to find rated therapists with availability details is a particularly useful capability. The ability to adjust settings like language, audio/video, and dark mode is also a nice…

Hello Jerome, I like your app that make patients easier for booking therapists. Streamlining the process of connecting patients with therapists is a crucial step in improving access to mental health care.

I think if your app can provide support for patients beyond regular working hours would be perfect. Mental health issues can arise at any time, and it's essential to have mechanisms in place to assist patients when they need help the most. One suggestion is to implement a crisis support feature within the app. This feature could offer access to a network of on-call mental health professionals or crisis hotlines that operate 24/7. Users in distress or requiring immediate assistance can reach out to these professionals for guidance…

I guess it’s excellent work on the beta presentation of your "Mental Mind" app, Jerome. As your classmate and peer, I'm happy to provide some detailed feedback to help strengthen the project as you continue developing it.

First, I'm really impressed by the user-focused design you've included. Letting new users input their age and mental health conditions upfront is smart - it tailors the experience from the start. And the language preferences, dark mode, and simple interface mode show you understand the importance of accessibility and comfort.

The search, booking, and virtual meeting features create a solid foundation. I especially like how users can filter therapists by ratings, availability, and payment options. That transparency and control will be valuable. And…

Yo Jerome ,

Overall, Jerome, you've provided a detailed and thorough overview of the key features and functionalities of the Mental Mind application. The application seems to be designed with the user experience in mind, offering a thoughtful and comprehensive set of capabilities to support both patients and therapists.

One area that could be improved is the clarity and organization of the information presented. While the details are extensive, the flow of the description could be enhanced to make it more concise and easier to follow. Consider breaking down the key sections (login, home page, meeting functions, etc.) into distinct paragraphs or bullet points to improve the readability.

Additionally, Jerome, you may want to expand on some of the specific…
