After completing the project beta, Anderson and I wanted to formulate a friendly solution to tackle mental health issues with an app on electronic devices, which is a virtual meeting platform, so that users who are patients with mental health illnesses can contact psychiatrists or mental therapists for assistance. Therefore, I have received comments from two classmates for reviewing.
The first comment that I received was from Cecilia:

In the beginning, she is impressed with the user-focused design that Anderson and I included, it is a smart move to let new users input their age and mental health conditions upfront, which tailors the experience from the start.
Besides, Cecilia has a few suggestions for improvement:
She suggested that we could consider adding more social or community-focused features, as it may help users feel connected and empowered. And since mental health can be isolating, these features provide people with ways to share experiences that could be transformative, and they could learn from each other.
Also, earn points for reaching milestones, then redeem them for discounts or prizes, this would be a little friendly competition and recognition for them that can go a long way, as a method to encourage user engagement.
One aspect we have not included is ensuring robust privacy and security measures, as mental health is a sensitive topic, and users need to trust their information is protected. For instance, we would consider that users may need to hand in their medical certification to psychiatrists or mental therapists through email, with a confidential agreement that their information is kept safely from the public.
The second comment was from Sabrina:

One of the suggestions Sabrina added is implementing a crisis support feature within the app, which is access to a network of on-call mental health professionals or crisis hotlines that operate 24 hours a week so that users who are in distress or require immediate assistance, can reach out to the professionals for guidance and support during challenging times, as it is essential to have mechanisms in place to assist patients when they need help the most.
Moreover, she also suggested that we could explore collaborations with mental health organizations or local support services, so that it enables users to locate nearby emergency clinics, helplines, or crisis intervention centers in their area, ensuring they have access to immediate help whenever it is needed.
And it would be beneficial to consider adding a progress-tracking feature. This allows users can keep track of how they are doing over time, notice any patterns or triggers that affect them, and see improvements in their mental health, it can be very motivating and give them a sense of accomplishment and optimism throughout their treatment.
Moreover, including a resource library can gather educational materials, articles, and self-help resources about various mental health conditions, as it provides users with a wealth of information right at their fingertips. It will also empower them to expand their knowledge, gain insights into their condition, and explore self-care techniques that can be helpful.
