In the pitch, I would like to enhance my discovery of mental health, and autism would be the most specific example.
Previously in the first semester, I created a smart application for users or patients to make appointments and contact the psychiatrist, along with functionalities that a regular service center has.

Nevertheless, I intend to apply both behavioral and qualitative techniques. These approaches can not just assist me in discovering the needs of patients but also in answering questions based on their problems. In addition, I came up with a Zoom-like software/service to broaden this concept to a new scale.
Moreover, I think the project is relevant to users because only some patients can arrive at the service center and make appointments with the psychiatrist physically. Therefore, it would be convenient for them to contact their psychiatrist through a virtual meeting platform to meet their needs from another path.

Hi Jerome,
I think your suggested virtual platform to facilitate autistic people's access to mental health care is a truly important and thoughtful proposal. It makes sense to address the difficulties patients encounter while physically visiting a service center and to expand the smart application that was previously developed to include remote consultation features.
Using a variety of approaches to research which includes qualitative and quantitative methodologies is an excellent methodological choice. The platform's convenience and utility are enhanced by adding communication and appointment scheduling features, as well as a Zoom-like video calling abilities.
Accessibility and support for the autistic individuals could be greatly improved by the virtual mental health platform. By focusing on understanding what consumers want, the user-centric…
Hey Jerome
This virtual mental health platform targeting autism patients is a thoughtful and relevant proposal. Integrating both behavioral and qualitative research to deeply understand user needs is a strong approach. The Zoom-like functionality for remote consultations addresses key accessibility barriers. Exploring alternative non-verbal interaction modes could further enhance the solution. Overall, a promising project idea.
Jasveen!
Hi Jerome
Peer Review of Proposed Mental Health and Autism Project
Concept:
The proposed concept of developing a virtual platform to improve access to mental health and autism services is a timely and worthwhile endeavor. The focus on enhancing discovery of patient needs through both behavioral and qualitative techniques is a sound approach. Expanding upon the previously created smart application to incorporate remote consultation capabilities aligns well with the goal of increasing accessibility.
Methodology:
The plan to leverage a Zoom-like video conferencing functionality is a logical step to enable virtual interactions between patients and providers. Integrating appointment scheduling and direct communication features further strengthens the utility of the platform. The intention to deeply understand user needs through a multi-pronged research…
Hi Jerome.
Your project pitch on developing a virtual mental health service for patients, with a focus on autism, demonstrates a thoughtful and user-centric approach. The proposed incorporation of both behavioural and qualitative techniques to better understand patient needs is a strong methodological choice. Applying these methods can yield valuable insights to inform the application's design and functionalities.
The style and energy of the pitch presentation is commendable, immediately drawing me in. The concept is well-articulated, rightly highlighting the accessibility challenges many patients face in physically visiting a service centre. Using an app-based solution can indeed be tremendously beneficial, addressing limitations of phone-based booking as well.
The idea to create a Zoom-like service for virtual psychiatrist appointments is highly relevant…
Hi Jerome,
Appreciate for your idea of developing an app specifically designed for individuals suffering from autism.
I must say, the virtual consultations would provide a great deal of convenience for the patients. However, I wanted to bring up an important consideration. While the zoom-like function would be immensely helpful for most patients, there are instances where individuals with autism may not be willing to engage in verbal communication or interact with doctors at all. It would be beneficial to address this particular challenge and find a solution that accommodates their needs as well.
For examples, you can involve integrating a virtual avatar that patients can interact with. This would provide a non-human interface for those who may feel more…
